The Homestead Highlanders have been selected as the Week 8 Bound Wisconsin Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team stayed unbeaten and took control of the North Shore Conference race. The Highlanders were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 8. A total of 10,077 votes were cast, as Homestead's 3,915 votes edged Edgewood’s 2,682 votes.

Slinger beat Homestead twice last season en route to a Division 2 state championship, but the Highlanders flipped the script in Week 8, downing Slinger 28-14. Homestead is unbeaten and in control of the North Shore Conference. Senior running back Connor Pangallo ran for 254 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
