With this week's decision by the WIAA Board of Control to vote down the proposed state tournament expansion for boys and girls basketball, the WIAA has now released the official Division and Sectional assignments for both boys and girls basketball.

Division Requests

Of note, the West Allis Central boys basketball requested to be elevated from Division 2 to Division 1, as they have many times before, and were approved.

Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II of Green Bay, Impact Christian Academy, St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy, and Washington Island basketball teams for both boys and girls opted out of the playoffs.

The following teams requested to move down a division via the WIAA’s process and were APPROVED:

The following schools met the six-point threshold or continued to meet the threshold for elevation via the WIAA’s Tournament Performance Factor. Included is a note if the school appealed, and the results of the appeal:
