Over the next few weeks we will be releasing our Player Rankings for the football Class of 2027. Player rankings are compiled by Bound Wisconsin football writer Travis Wilson and are based on a combination of college potential, recruiting interest/offers, in-person evaluations, film evaluations, coach evaluations, stats, post-season awards, and more.

PREVIOUSLY RELEASED CLASS OF 2027 PLAYER RANKINGS

Class of 2027 Wide Receivers:

1. Bryce Austin, Racine Lutheran – Austin only played in four games last year due to injury, but showed out in the limited action he did see. Bryce caught 31 passes for 327 and two touchdowns, which still earned him First Team All-Conference recognition. He’s also a standout on the defensive side of the ball for the Crusaders. Austin holds offers from Western Illinois, St. Thomas, and Drake plus several D2’s.

2. Larenzz Pratt, Kenosha Bradford – Pratt is another outstanding two-way player who is a Division 1 college player. He earned First Team All-Conference recognition on both offense and defense for the Red Devils a year ago. As a receiver, he led the team with 35 catches for 577 yards and three touchdowns. He added five interceptions on defense, three of which he returned for touchdowns. Pratt gave a commitment to South Dakota State in the off-season, where he may enter as a defensive back.

3. Garrett Bracewell, Marathon – Bracewell put up big numbers at the small school level last season, catching 55 passes for 804 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning First Team All-Conference and WFCA Honorable Mention All-State recognition. He proved himself in a big way at the WFCA Combine, where he measured in at 6’1.5” and ran 4.44 in the 40-yard dash, the second fastest time of the event. He holds an offer from Drake, as well as half a dozen D2 and D3 programs.

4. Drew Olsson, Sussex Hamilton – Olsson joins Alex Restivo as one of the top returning receiving duos in the state. Very sure-handed, he hauled in 59 passes for 708 yards and four touchdowns last season, earning First Team All-Conference and WFCA All-Region recognition. He was also a big-time threat in the return game for the Chargers. He’s received interested from multiple D1, D2, and D3 schools.

5. Kaden Garbe, Delavan-Darien – Garbe led the state in receiving yards last year with 1,324, as he hauled in 73 passes for 12 touchdowns on the season. He teamed with Braedyn McKean to form the top producing pass-catching duo in the state, and both are returning for their senior seasons. Garbe has several D2 and D3 offers to this point. He ran 4.69 in the 40 at the WFCA Combine with a 34” vertical.

6. Max Baehman, Mukwonago – Baehman earned First Team All-Conference recognition in the Classic Eight last year, no small feat in such a tough league. He led the Indian with 41 catches, accounting for 437 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He’s very patient, both in his route-running and after the catch. Baehman reports a 4.5-second 40-yard dash time.

7. Alex Restivo, Sussex Hamilton – Often playing out of the slot, Restivo proved to be a big-time playmaker on both short passes and deep routes. He also displayed excellent versatility by playing in the backfield at times. He’s very shifty in tight spaces, and finds a way to get extra yards, something that helped him average 16.6 yards per catch last year. All told, he caught 48 passes for 796 yards with four touchdowns.

8. Bennett Nelson, Appleton West – Nelson is a big-bodied receiver that uses his size to help shield defenders and make plays on the ball. He was a big-play threat, averaging 22.9 yards per catch last season when he hauled in 34 passes for 778 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning First Team All-Conference recognition.

9. Keegan DeGeorge, Waukesha South – DeGeorge is top five among Class of 2027 receiver in receptions, yards, and touchdowns from last year. As part of an explosive Blackshirts passing attack, he caught 63 passes for 979 yards and 13 touchdowns, earning First Team All-Conference recognition.

10. Ben Morey, Edgewood – Morey was the top receiving threat for the co-Badger-Small champions a year ago. The playmaker caught 41 passes for 876 yards and 12 touchdowns, showing the ability to take short passes for big gains or get behind the defense. He ran 4.62 in the 40 at the WFCA Combine with an outstanding 6.81-second time in the L-Drill, second best of the event.

11. Collin Christian, Lake Mills – Christian was the favorite target for All-State quarterback Tyler Wollin last year, when he caught 34 passes for 702 yards and six touchdowns. With Wollin also returning as our top-ranked Class of 2027 quarterback, it could be another banner year for the L-Cats and Christian. A big, strong receiver at 6’1”, 200 pounds, he nonetheless showed excellent short-space quickness at the WFCA Combine with top ten marks in the L-Drill (6.85 seconds) and short shuttle (4.22 seconds). Christian has received a trio of D3 offers so far.

12. Braedyn McKean, Delavan-Darien – McKean teams with Kaden Garbe for the most productive receiving duo in the state, and one of the tops we’ve seen in some time. McKean hauled in 66 passes last season for 1,100 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 16.7 yards per catch. He plays out of the slot, where he can use his outstanding quickness to defeat defenders in space. He was also used in the running game quite often, carrying it 38 times for 368 yards and six touchdowns.

13. Dylan Brinkman, Lake Mills – Perhaps no player on this list has the ability to shoot up the board in 2026 than Brinkman. He missed time at the beginning and end of the 2025 season, playing just five total games. Still, he caught 14 passes for 283 yards and five touchdowns, averaging more than 20 yards per reception. He’s received a handful of D2 and D3 offers, and a strong start to his senior season could see that number increase quite a bit. He was impressive at the WFCA Combine with a 4.59 time in the 40, 6.85 in the L-Drill and 4.22 in the short shuttle.

14. Carter Zimmermann, Kohler/Sheb. Luth./Christian – Zimmermann was one of the most productive receivers in the state last year, with 60 receptions for 883 yards and 15 touchdowns. The 6’4”, 190-pounder was a First Team All-Conference pick in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference and also earned WFCA All-Region accolades.

15. Luke Andersen, McDonell Central – Andersen is the only 8-player athlete on the receiver list, but he certainly earned his way on after a big junior season. He led the state last season with 20 receiving touchdowns, which was nearly half of his receptions number (41), as he recorded 1,019 yards through the air. He averaged 24.9 yards per catch.
