The Wrightstown Tigers have been selected as the Level 2 Bound Wisconsin Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. The team went on the road to shutout a very good Stratford squad. The Tigers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 2. A total of 3,601 votes were cast, as Wrightstown’s 1,206 votes edged La Crosse Logan’s 795 votes.

Wrightstown posted a rare Level 2 playoff shutout, downing Stratford 9-0 in a Division 4 game. It was a defensive battle throughout, with Wrightstown scraping out 221 yards of offense to get the job done. Quarterback Rogan Thompson ran in the only touchdown of the game. Andrew Besel knocked home a 31-yard field goal.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named Bound Wisconsin Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for next week’s nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
