HOME TEAMS TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS
Last year, higher-seeded teams went 21-7. With one game still to be played on Saturday (Racine St. Catherine’s versus West Salem), higher-seeded home teams are 19-8 this season. Still, there were a lot of very competitive games, with 18 of the 27 games decided by two touchdowns or less, including ten of those by a single score.
CINDERELLA KEEPS DANCING
Of the lower-seeded teams that were able to score wins in Level 3, several of them did so in convincing fashion. Second-seeded Iowa-Grant went on the road and dominated top-seeded Ithaca/Weston 50-0.
Certainly not the traditional “Cinderella”, but the highest seed still going is Division 3, fifth-seeded Catholic Memorial, who scored a third consecutive road victory by pulling away from Whitefish Bay for a 40-15 win.
