Monday, January 12

Silas Bolton, Kenosha Indian Trail, senior

Bolton had a career night despite the fact Indian Trail fell to Milwaukee Bay View 90-75 on Monday night. The senior wing poured in a career high 44 points in the loss, while adding 19 rebounds.

Caden Gustafson, Waterford, senior

Waterford secured a 67-41 win over a solid East Troy team on Monday night as Gustafson continued his terrific start to his senior campaign. The Northern Michigan recruit finished with 25 points while knocking down six of nine from deep. He added ten rebounds and three assists for the Wolverines.

Ladarius Finkley, Kingdom Prep Lutheran, senior

Finkley had one of the better shooting performances from beyond the arc of anyone in the state to this point of the season as Kingdom Prep won 102-65 over Salam. The senior buried ten shots from deep en route to a game high 42 points in the victory.

Jack Kohnen, Slinger, junior

The do-it-all junior wing did a bit of everything at a high level in Slinger’s 82-29 win over Watertown. The Division 1 collegiate prospect poured in an efficient 33 points in the win for the Owls, but proved his engagement in the game by adding 21 rebounds and eight assists.

Kamden Kroll, Northwestern, junior

Kroll was nearly perfect scoring the ball as he set two new school records in Northwestern’s 94-52 win over Spooner. The junior guard poured in 45 points, which sets a new Tigers’ record while shooting 17 of 21 from the field. He also buried 9 of 12 shots from deep, with the nine made threes setting another new school record.

Paul Strutz, Shoreland Lutheran

Shoreland Lutheran went into the University School of Milwaukee and came out with a 65-46 victory. For head coach Paul Strutz, it was number 200 in his career.

Quinn Widiker, Webster, senior

Widiker is a walking double-double for a Webster team that improved to 10-0 on the season with a 95-41 win over Bruce Monday night. The 6-6 athletic forward poured in 40 points and 18 rebounds for the Tigers in their tenth straight victory.

JJ Zavatchin, Oostburg, senior

Zavatchin became the second player this season to surpass 2,000 career points, and did so with a dominant scoring output against a very strong opponent in Sheboygan Lutheran. The senior that can seemingly score at-will tallied 41 points and the Flying Dutchmen scored an impressive 71-43 win over the ranked Crusaders.

Tuesday, January 13

Brody Gilbertson, Wisconsin Rapids, senior

Gilbertson has had a great individual start to his senior year and on Tuesday night hit a career milestone in a 71-62 loss to Eau Claire North. Gilbertson scored 34 points and added 6 rebounds and joined the 1,000 point club.

Holmen

Holmen is one of the better three-point shooting teams and displayed that in a 90-68 win over Tomah. The Vikings were red hot once again, burying 15 of 27 triples in the win, led by junior Jayden Bartels who made 8 of 10 from deep en route to a game high 32 points.

Korz Loken, Iola-Scandinavia, junior

Loken continues to impress as the Thunderbirds have been without Alex Robbins over the past month or so. Iola picked up a 72-57 win over a very good and ranked Saint Mary Catholic squad on Tuesday night. Loken finished dominated the glass, finishing with 19 rebounds in the win to go along with his game high 21 points.

Hayden Massman, Bangor, senior

Massman filled the stat sheet as he helped Bangor to a 73-64 win over Wonewoc-Center on Tuesday night. The senior had 28 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and added 7 steals, getting it done on both ends of the court.

Jace Mataczynski, Hudson, senior

Mataczynski was feeling it from beyond the arc as Hudson scored a win over out-of-state opponent Hastings. The senior guard buried six of eleven triples and finished with 29 points in the 78-53 victory.

Jaylen Miggins, Marshall, junior

Miggins and Marshall came up short in an 86-63 loss to a very good Lake Mills squad. However, the junior wing hit a career milestone. Miggins had a team high 16 points and joined the 1,000 point club.

Jase Navis, Mauston, sophomore

Navis continues to put up monster double-doubles and lead Mauston to victories. Tuesday night in a 76-57 win over Viroqua he had 30 points and 18 rebounds for the Golden Eagles, adding 4 assists for safe measure.

Sam Pitrof, Racine Lutheran, senior

Pitrof was electric as Lutheran picked up a high-scoring, decisive 104-70 win over Racine Park. The skilled and athletic forward poured in 36 points in the win and hauled in 15 rebounds.

Bryce Piesler, Luxemburg-Casco, junior

Piesler was unconscious from deep as he led Luxemburg to a 72-48 win over Clintonville. The junior guard buried 10 shots from deep on 16 attempts as he finished with 34 points in the victory.

Blake Stachura, Omro, senior

Stachura had a career night as Omro got a big 65-62 win over Winnebago Lutheran in the Flyway conference Tuesday night. The senior poured in 31 points in the victory and added five rebounds.

Ryan Westrich, Bonduel, senior

Bonduel stayed undefeated in a 79-49 win over Wausau East. The senior big man for the Bears had 24 points in the victory. In doing so, Westrich became the school’s all-time leading scorer, standing at 1,341 career points.

Winneconne

Winneconne scored a huge 81-79 win over Bay Conference foe Xavier on Tuesday night. The Wolves trio of Parker Ingles, Brody Schaffer, and Drew Lenz continued to elevate their game in this one. Ingles finished with 28 points and 7 rebounds while Schaffer had 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Lenz, just a freshman, added 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Wolves.

Thursday, January 15

Blake Basich and Trey Resch, Arrowhead juniors

The junior duo from Arrowhead put together an impressive performance as the Warhawks secured an 88-70 win over Muskego. Resch did a lot of of the scoring, pouring in an efficient 32 points. Basich showed why he’s one of the better point guards in the state, finishing the game with 18 points, but more impressively, adding 16 assists.

Blake Bradley, Ripon, sophomore

Bradley continues to knock down triples at an alarming rate for Ripon, doubling down on that in an 83-47 win over Nekoosa. The sophomore poured in 39 points while knocking down 8 of 12 from deep in the win. On top of that, Bradley added 16 rebounds.

Isaiah Fox, West Allis Central, junior

We had another unicorn performance coming in West Allis’ 122-40 blowout win over Cudahy on Thursday. Fox recorded a quadruple-double in the victory, the second of the year in our state. Fox finished the game with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and added 10 steals on the defensive side for the Bulldogs.

Christopher Kenesie, Kenosha St. Joseph, junior

Kensesie stuffed the stat sheet in Thursday’s 82-66 win over Kingdom Prep Lutheran. The junior guard and talented multi-sport athlete finished with 24 points to lead the Lancers. He added 14 assists, 5 rebounds, and 7 steals.

Chris Lindert, Pardeeville

Head coach Chris Lindert hit a career milestone as Pardeeville won Thursday night 76-41 over Cambria-Friesland. That victory was number 300 for Lindert in his prep coaching career.

Harry Schroeder, Howards Grove, sophomore

Scroeder had a career night as Howards Grove secured a 79-61 win over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Thursday. The sophomore poured in a career high 32 points while adding 12 rebounds in the victory.

Kayden Schultz, Plymouth, senior

Schultz is one of the best scorers in the state, and on Thursday night he crossed the 2,000 point mark, proving that to be true. The senior wing finished with 33 points while making 7 of 12 from deep in a 71-58 loss to Port Washington.

Keaton Wollan, Amery, junior

Wollan crossed the 40-point mark for the third time in a game this season as Amery took home an 81-55 win over Clear Lake. The junior wing poured in 43 points, which turns out to be a new career high for him.

Isaiah Yuenger, Beaver Dam, junior

Yuenger hit the 1,000 point mark on Thursday night, helping lead Beaver Dam to a 77-64 victory over Baraboo.

Friday, January 16

Elijah Harris, Milwaukee Reagan, freshman

Harris came one block shy of a triple-double as Reagan secured an 84-70 win over Milwaukee Washington on Friday.

Amare Hereford, Beloit Memorial, senior

Hereford is quickly closing in on 2,000 career points, getting a chunk closer in Friday’s 83-60 win over Burlington. The lightning quick guard had a stat line of 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Kaukauna

The Galloping Ghosts eked out a 94-93 overtime win over Oshkosh North on Friday and did so thanks in large part to a pair of underclassmen. On a night when their senior big man and DePaul recruit finished with just two points, sophomore Tyler Schwalbach and freshman Drew Bowers took the reigns. Schwalbach finished with 31 points while Bowers added 25 to keep Kaukauna undefeated going into their matchup with Marshfield at the Midwest Players Classic on Saturday.

Bryce Ott, Oshkosh North, senior

Speaking of that 94-93 overtime thriller, Ott was the catalyst for the Spartans, despite the team coming up short in defeat. The Minnesota State-Mankato recruit finished with a game high 35 points in the win.

The Prairie School

The Hawks got a 70-63 Metro Classic Conference win over Shoreland Lutheran behind a balanced effort. Senior Nolan Greb finished with 24 points for The Prairie School, knocking down five of seven from deep. Juniors Chandler Perry and Dalton Ahlensdorf both recorded double-doubles, with Perry tallying 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Ahlensdorf adding 13 and 10.

Logan Ramczyk, Xavier, junior

Ramczyk added another triple-double to his season and it was muched need as Xavier got a 90-75 Bay Conference win over Fox Valley Lutheran. The junior do-it-all guard tallied 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in the Hawks victory.
