It is time to take a look at this week’s Bound Wisconsin Football Coaches Poll. Division assignment this year is based on official WIAA assignments released prior to the start of the season. Arrowhead dominates the rankings again, but former number two Muskego’s loss to Oconomowoc caused some shakeups in the top five. The Warriors slip to sixth this week, as Bay Port is up to second, followed in the top five by West De Pere, Hamilton, and Oconomowoc. Hudson and De Pere drop out after losses, with Racine Case and Franklin moving in this week.

For the second straight week, no changes in the top five of the Division 2 rankings, as Notre Dame continues to occupy the top spot. Kaukauna tumbles out of the rankings after a second loss this year, with Holmen and Grafton moving up. Elkhorn moves into the poll this week.

Pewaukee is the heavy favorite at the top of Division 3, with Port Washington up to second, Plymouth third, and La Crosse Logan fourth. Catholic Memorial has lost three in a row and drops from second to sixth this week. Reedsburg’s loss to Holmen causes the Beavers to drop from third to fifth.

Freedom and Little Chute continue to be the top two teams in Division 4, and they’ll face off this week in a huge North Eastern Conference contest. Northwestern leapfrogs West Salem for third. Edgewood climbs a couple spots this week as well, though no ranked teams suffered losses last week.

Darlington stays number one in Division 5, but Lake Country Lutheran drops from second to fifth after suffering its first loss of the year against Racine St. Catherine’s. Mayville drops out after the defending state champs went down to Campbellsport. Arcadia moves in this week.

A new top team in Division 6 after Regis suffered its first loss of the year against Durand-Arkansaw. Bonduel moves into that number one position this week, followed in the top five by Lomira, Edgar, Manitowoc Lutheran, and Mondovi. Regis is sixth. Pardeeville moves into the poll while Luther drops out.

Cochrane-Fountain City won a wet one last week over Pepin/Alma and stays on top of the Division 7 Coaches Poll. Pepin/Alma slips to sixth. Glenwood City moves up to number two, followed in the top five by Shiocton, Cashton, and Iowa-Grant. Webster is undefeated and into the poll for the first time at number eight. River Ridge also enters this week, as Coleman and Boyceville fall out.

Gilman remains number one in 8-player, followed again by Assumption, Belmont, and Valley Christian. Suring moves into the top five, as Owen-Withee goes from fifth to out of the rankings. Hurley and Iola-Scandinavia also drop out, as Shell Lake, Sevastopol, and Wabeno/Laona move into the poll.
