Brayden Doerr of Edgerton has been selected as the Week 5 Bound Wisconsin Football Player of the Week following a statewide vote on BoundWisconsin.com. His big day helped the Tide get a key win as he’s been one of the top passers in the state this year. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 3,615 votes were cast, as Doerr’s 1,284 were enough to edge out second place Bevyn Dennis of Riverdale, who tallied 843 votes.
Edgerton posted a key 38-28 win over Portage in a Capitol Conference game on Friday night behind a strong offensive effort. Senior quarterback Brayden Doerr completed 20-of-31 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Doerr leads the state in passing touchdowns through five weeks and is second in passing yards.
