Bound Wisconsin Basketball Player of the Week - Jan. 12-18

Elijah Harris, Milwaukee Reagan BBB
Just a freshman, Harris is off to a strong start to his high school career. Reagan beat Kenosha Tremper 79-56 last week as Harris had 13 points and 17 rebounds. In a 90-34 win over Salam, Harris scored 12 points with seven rebounds. He saved the best for last in an 84-70 victory against Milwaukee Washington with 21 points, 20 rebounds, and nine blocks.

Bre Heller, Mauston GBB
It was a special week for Mauston senior Bre Heller. On Monday, she recorded her 1000th career point in an 89-72 win over Hillsboro, finishing with 22 points, 13 assists, nine rebounds, and nine blocks. In a 53-41 win over Adams-Friendship, Heller added seven points, 13 rebounds, and five assists. Heller contributed 13 points, six rebounds, and six assists in a 52-39 win over a ranked Royall squad.


Addison Schmidt, Rice Lake GBB
Adi Sheplee gets a lot of the attention at Rice Lake, but Addison Schmidt has put together an outstanding season, including a big week last week. In a 57-35 win over Chippewa Falls, Schmidt totaled a game-high 17 points with 17 rebounds, adding five blocks. She would add 20 points and 17 rebounds in a 66-42 victory against River Falls. The Warriors took down Hudson 67-54, as Schmidt had 10 points with 18 rebounds.

Kayden Schultz, Plymouth BBB
Senior Kayden Schultz of Plymouth eclipsed 2000 career points last week as the Panthers went 2-1. In a 72-60 win over Cedarburg, Schultz poured in 49 points with seven rebounds. Schultz had 33 points in a 71-58 loss to Port Washington. He’d finish things off with a 26 points, 10-rebound performance in an 86-55 win over Waukesha North.

Travis Wilson serves as the Bound Wisconsin Manager. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
