Football Class of 2027 Player Rankings: Top 50 Seniors - #26-50

Over the next few weeks we will be releasing our Player Rankings for the football Class of 2027. Player rankings are compiled by Bound Wisconsin football writer Travis Wilson and are based on a combination of college potential, recruiting interest/offers, in-person evaluations, film evaluations, coach evaluations, stats, post-season awards, and more.

The 2027 class has been a very interesting one to follow over the last couple years, with some players who have been in the public eye as highly-regarded prospects since very early in their high school careers, and a large number that bucked recent trends and stayed in-state to commit to the Wisconsin Badgers.

As expected, there has been a flurry of commitment news in the last couple weeks, as players look to get their college decisions wrapped up before the season starts.

The 2027 class is one of the strongest we’ve seen in quite some time, and the Wisconsin coaching staff recognized it and made a concerted effort to keep the top talent home. The Badgers have commitments from ten players in the class,

Not surprisingly, the offensive line group leads the way with 16 players in the Top 50. There are at least 20 offensive linemen that have offers from at least one Division 1 program.

It has been an interesting year to follow recruiting, to say the least. And there are still a number of prospects waiting for that elusive first D1 offer, or that will emerge as legitimate Division 1 candidates over the coming months. So stay tuned.

Without further ado, here is a closer look at our Top 50 Seniors, as we begin with spots #26 through #50. The #1 through #25 rankings will be published tomorrow on Bound Wisconsin.

Please note that in the positional Player Rankings, players were only considered at one position. For the Top 50 list, we gave additional weight to players who excel at multiple positions, and thus there may be some players whose ranking is higher overall than others that they were behind in a position group.

26. Sam Schmidt, West De Pere – Schmidt teams with David Provost to form an outstanding tackle duo, with Sam manning the left side. A First Team All-Conference pick last season, he helped the Phantoms to a state title. Schmidt gave a commitment to Western Michigan in early June.

27. Brett Singler, Shiocton – Singler is an outstanding two-way player who is one of the top tight ends in the state (46 catches, 535 yards, 7 TD) but also an elite player on defense. He recorded 67 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks last year, taking home First Team All-Conference recognition on both sides of the ball. He moves around the formation, with excellent strength and hand usage. At 6’5”, 240 pounds already, he could play in multiple spots up front at the next level. Speaking of, he has committed to Wyoming.

28. Nolan Hanson, Arrowhead – Hanson quarterbacked the Warhawks to the Division 1 state championship last season, when he was a First Team All-Conference selection in the Classic Eight. Hanson completed 136-of-220 passes (61.8%) for 1,910 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season. He gave a committed to Drake back in May.

29. Brady Lee, Aquinas – Lee is another elite safety prospect who will play at the Division 1 level. A First Team All-Conference and WFCA Honorable Mention All-State choice, Lee had 52 tackles, four tackles for loss, and an interception for the Blugolds last season. He also caught 18 passes for 392 yards and five scores. Generally playing in a two-deep alignment, he has good closing skills to drive on the ball and contest passes across the field. However, he’s very capable of flying into the box, or even lining up closer to the line at the snap, and being physical in run support. Lee has given a commitment to North Dakota.

30. Trent Breitbach, Stevens Point – Breitbach is highly productive and highly athletic, and that combination leads to a strong ranking for the incoming senior. Last year, he completed 59.8% of his passes for 1,786 yards to go with 14 touchdowns. He displayed his strong athletic ability with 854 yards and 20 touchdowns on the ground. That athletic ability shown at the WFCA Combine, where he had the best marks this year in the L-Drill (6.69 seconds) and short shuttle (4.07 seconds) of any player. He holds several D2 offers with interest schools across the spectrum.

31. Larenzz Pratt, Kenosha Bradford – Pratt is another outstanding two-way player who is a Division 1 college player. He earned First Team All-Conference recognition on both offense and defense for the Red Devils a year ago. As a receiver, he led the team with 35 catches for 577 yards and three touchdowns. He added five interceptions on defense, three of which he returned for touchdowns. Pratt gave a commitment to South Dakota State in the off-season, where he may enter as a defensive back.

32. Orville Blohm, Winnebago Lutheran – Blohm was a First Team All-Conference pick on both the offensive and defensive lines for the Vikings last year. He played at guard for WLA, lining up on both the left and right sides of the formation. He’s very explosive with excellent feet, and is devastating as a puller. Blohm gave a commitment to Western Michigan earlier this year.

33. Devon Williams, Jr., Catholic Memorial – Williams, Jr. was a first-time starter as a junior and ran with it, literally. He carried the ball 172 times for 1,096 yards with 13 touchdowns, becoming the first 1000-yard rusher at CMH since Corey Smith in 2022. He also showed the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield, catching 14 passes for the Crusaders. In late May, Williams, Jr. gave a commitment to South Dakota State University.

34. Luke Grube, West Salem – Grube was a First Team All-Conference offensive lineman last year, playing as a left tackle. He may be best suited to move inside at the next level. Speaking of, he has given a commitment to North Dakota. He’s a mauler in the run game and extremely physical.

35. Amarie King, Racine Case – King is a ball-hawk in the defensive backfield for the Eagles and head coach Anton Graham, picking off five passes last year along with eight pass breakups. He also had 44 tackles, earning First Team All-Conference recognition in the Southeast Conference. Not only does King do a nice job in pass coverage, he’s very willing to come up in run support and is a physical and aggressive tackler. Offers have come so far from South Dakota and St. Thomas.

36. Christopher Kenesie, Kenosha St. Joseph – Kenesie is the top returning playmaker for last year’s Division 7 state champion St. Joseph. He was the team’s leading rusher with 1,224 yards and 19 touchdowns, caught 24 passes for 374 yards and five scores, and was also a standout on the defensive side of the ball. Kenesie was second on the team with 70 tackles, and among state leaders with seven interceptions. He lines up at safety, where he is able to see the whole field and diagnose the play, coming downhill in a hurry in run support, or finding openings in the secondary to get to the football. Kenesie gave a commitment to Northern Iowa in May.

37. Cayden Cavanaugh, De Pere – Cavanaugh is another highly productive inside linebacker, with 112 tackles last season. He was also responsible for two forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. A First Team All-Conference selection, he also earned WFCA Honorable Mention All-State. Cavanaugh does a nice job flowing through traffic to get to the ball, and is outstanding playing in space. He holds offers from Northwest Missouri, Upper Iowa, Sioux Falls, Ferris State, and Northern Michigan.

38. Truman Wetzel, Nicolet – Wetzel is very long and a bit slender right now (6’7”, 240), but displays excellent skills as he continues to grow into his body and add weight. He has good pop off the line and delivers a punch in the run game, and will get better and better in pass pro as he bulks up to be able to hold his position. Wetzel has given a commitment to Western Michigan.

39. Jack Guenzler-Soda, Verona – Jack took home First Team All-Conference recognition in the Big Eight Conference last year, adding WFCA All-Region recognition. He was tops on the Wildcats with 104 tackles last year, with 10 tackles for loss, and three sacks. Guenzler-Soda does an excellent job attacking downhill but has the ability to pursue to the outside as well. He holds offers from Drake, St. Thomas, Western Illinois, Butler, and several D2’s.

40. Guardian Harris, Fond du Lac – Harris played all over the defense for Fond du Lac last year, from defensive end to overhang to in the slot. He flashed impressive athletic ability and versatility, able to get out into pass coverage (two interceptions) or play off the edge. He was also an outstanding special teams player for the Cardinals and saw action at tight end. Harris gave a commitment to North Dakota State in the spring.

41. Jack Nelson, Grafton – Nelson was the offensive workhorse for a Grafton team that captured the Division 3 state championship last year. He ran for 1,931 yards and 26 touchdowns on 265 carries, averaging 7.3 yards per carry. He also caught 18 passes for 185 yards and a score, and also returned a punt for a touchdown. Nelson received an offer from Air Force this spring.

42. Brady Bauer, Lourdes Academy – Bauer is a very talented athlete who did whatever was asked of him for the Knights last season. He was dynamic as an offensive playmaker, completing 70% of his passes for 1,620 yards and 15 touchdowns with just three interceptions. He was also the team’s leading rusher with 1,197 yards and 23 scores on the ground. Bauer was the Trailways Offensive Player of the Year, but also a First Team All-Conference pick at linebacker, with 61 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks. As an outside linebacker in the team’s 3-4 defense, he was able to use his outstanding athletic ability to attack the backfield and bend off the edge. Bauer is very strong, benching 185 pounds 37 times at the WFCA Combine, but also displaying excellent all-around athleticism. He has offers from Drake and several D2’s.

43. Connor Stuckel, Neenah – Stuckel is a heavy hitter from his inside linebacker spot in the Neenah defense. At 6’2”, 215 pounds, he has the size and strength to take on blockers and punish the running back. A First Team All-FVA selection, Stuckel recorded 68 tackles last year with eight tackles for loss, and three sacks. He also forced two fumbles and recorded two interceptions. He has given a commitment to Drake.

44. Carter Gordon, Germantown – Gordon is yet another elite offensive lineman that will return for Germantown, playing at right guard for the Warhawks. He does an excellent job in the run game, whether on base blocks, reaches, or as a puller. He’s still working on his feet and pass pro, but has the skill set to be effective there. Gordon earned First Team All-Conference in the Greater Metro and holds offers from Illinois State.

45. Reece Joten, Little Chute – Little Chute was one of the surprise stories of the 2025 season, going from out of the playoffs the year before to within minutes of a Division 4 state championship, before falling to Winneconne. Joten is one of the state’s top two-way performers and part of a loaded backfield, leading the Mustangs with 1,793 yards and 22 touchdowns on 225 carries. He was also the team’s leading tackler, and a WFCA All-State pick at linebacker.

46. Sam Follen, Waunakee – Follen is the latest standout defensive lineman to come out of Waunakee, earning First Team All-Conference recognition after recording 46 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks as a junior last year. He is a great technician, with excellent hand use that allows him to shed or get past blockers consistently. He also plays with very good leverage, and can get under offensive tackles to drive them back. Follen holds offers from Northern Michigan, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Oshkosh, and UW-Whitewater.

47. Quintin Arizola, Delavan-Darien – Arizola is tops among returning players in the state with 3,223 passing yards a year ago, when he completed 65.3% of his passes with 33 touchdowns as the Comets shared the Rock Valley Conference crown. A First Team All-Conference choice, he also earned WFCA Honorable Mention All-State. He holds several Division 3 offers currently.

48. Colton Markohn, West Bend West – Markohn is an outstanding football player who combines excellent physical abilities with high levels of production. A First Team All-Conference player in the North Shore last year, he had 56 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and five sacks on the season. Markohn has an array of moves coming off the edge, but often uses his explosiveness to get off quickly and knock back the opponent. He earned a D1 offer from Western Illinois as well as a handful of Division 2 offers, before ultimately committing to Minnesota State.

49. Corbin Burrell-Warfield, Kenosha Bradford – A defensive weapon for the Red Devils, Burrell-Warfield was used in a variety of ways, and excelled in all of them. He’s outstanding in space, doing a nice job to drop into coverage, where he had two interceptions. He added 51 total tackles, earning First Team All-Conference recognition in the Southeast. He has D1 offers from Army, Eastern Michigan, and Drake.

50. Garrett Bracewell, Marathon – Bracewell put up big numbers at the small school level last season, catching 55 passes for 804 yards and 11 touchdowns, earning First Team All-Conference and WFCA Honorable Mention All-State recognition. He proved himself in a big way at the WFCA Combine, where he measured in at 6’1.5” and ran 4.44 in the 40-yard dash, the second fastest time of the event. He holds an offer from Drake, as well as half a dozen D2 and D3 programs.
